Service Pack Download: A Service Pack (SP) is a collection of improvements and modifications for a specific product release. SPs for a current release may continue to evolve, so current users should check this site regularly. To see if a SP is available for your product, check your product version number then click on the corresponding link.

NOTE: SPs are not compatible across different version numbers or platforms, i.e., an SP for OSX/v10.0 will only work with OSX/v10.0. If it is installed on a different version, it will not work and will likely require reinstallation of your original software.

Quick Fix Download: A Quick Fix (QF) differs from a SP in that it is a specific improvement or modification for the current product release. QFs may continue to evolve, so current users should check this site regularly.

NOTE: QFs are not compatible across different version numbers or platforms, i.e., a QF for OSX/v10.0 will only work with OSX/v10.0. If it is installed on a different version, it will not work and will likely require reinstallation of your original software.

Related Product Download: A Related Product Download (RPD) is a third party software which resolves compatibility issues in different environments. Absoft users should check this site regularly.

(To obtain the version number of your copy of Pro Fortran, examine the contents of the file "absoft_release" in the Pro Fortran installation directory. Mac OS Intel Pro Fortran 10.0 update package:

Mac OS Intel Pro Fortran 10.0 MRWE update package:

IMPORTANT NOTE: This update is not required for Absoft Pro Fortran 10.1 as the 10.1 release already contains the changes.

This update for Absoft Pro Fortran 10 installs a new version of the MRWE Fortran application framework. This new version replaces the asynchronous event timer originally used in Pro Fortran 10 release with the event model used in previous versions of MRWE. The compiler drivers accept a new option, -N9, which supports this new event model.

This update also includes a modified AbsoftTools application which will automatically invoke Apple's dsymutil program when generating debug information for MRWE applications.

Quick Fix Download: This patch is for MacOS/Intel v10 users running the new Leopard OS
The patch will only install on Leopard!

Updates the Fx3 Debugger that ships with Pro Fortran 10 for Mac OS X.

The patch addresses a low level change made to Apple's implementation
of Dwarf for Leopard. It does not fix the outstanding problems with static
variables and variables in COMMON blocks as Apple made no changes/fixes
to their DWARF implementation in this area.

The patch is for Intel Leopard only. It will not do anything for users
running the PowerPC version of Leopard. The issues addressed are not the
issues that are preventing Fx2 from working on PowerPC Leopard and the
Fx3 debugger installed by the patch is Intel only.

The patch only updates the Fx3 debugger. No other parts of the Pro
Fortran 10 package are modified during installation so no issues,
known or unknown, with other components of Pro Fortran 10 are fixed by
installing this patch.
